cold weather

I leave my internal battery in place during the month that our Eriba is not in use, ususally plugging the electrics on at the beginning of each month for a couple of days to charge the battery.

Tried to loosen the winter cover today to insert the mains plug and the cover and the straps holding it down are frozen (bugger)
Usually the battery is around 12.7 volts are around the beginning of each month, so crossing my fingers that it is still ok next week when the weather is supposedly getting warmer, even the zip on the door access is frozen and what was waxed last month .

i could leave it plugged in all the time so i may purchase a shorter lead and do that before next winter'
be cheaper than a new battery.

I tried to open our Puck last week and the lock was frozen. I warmed the key and got it unlocked and the door seal was frozen as well. Five minutes with the hot air gun got it open and I wiped round the rubber seal with some silicone spray (back to black aerosol) to keep it clear for next time.
