I gave up Milenco's and spent out on EMUK and would never use anything else now. The fitting is positive as its made to fit the individual model and if you change car you can keep the mirrors and buy the appropriate attachment. They're easy to attach and solid as a rock.

I previously towed with a VW Touran and Skoda Yeti, so similar mirror design and I used the Milenco Aero with optional extra clamping foot for VAG mirrors.
I now have an Audi A3 and use the EMUK mirrors. They are without doubt the best you can buy. I set them up 6 years ago when I bought my Audi and have spent probably less than 30 seconds tweaking the fit over the subsequent years. No UK dealer supplies them so you will have to get them imported.
I bought off ebay, but you can start your search here. https://www.l-parts.de/ You will not regret the hours you will spend in sourcing a pair.

FWIW I've used EMUK mirrors on an A3 and now a Karoq, and they are indeed the bee's testicles.
You probably won't have to spend hours finding some.
Mirrors, not bee testicles.
I found these in about 12 seconds.

I've bookmarked that page as when I last looked I could not find a UK supplier. I can see why folk worship the ground you walk on.

I've bookmarked the manufacturer site as well Roger. They are obviously easier to buy now than 6 years ago when I bought mine, partly due to recommendation by the naughty one. At the time I had to get mine from Germany as they did not have a UK distributor.

I too have Emuks. I wouldn’t use any others - they aren’t cheap, but they are vibration free, easy to fit and don’t block the indicators, or the view over the top of the standard mirrors. They also fold safely with the car mirrors without hitting windows or bodywork.

For info. Towingmirrors.uk sources their kit from Zolio BV in the Netherlands. I’ve ordered a pair for just a smidgen under £100 and been told 3 to 4 days for delivery (included) by DPD. Thanks everyone for your help.

There’s only one slight downside to EMUK mirrors.
That they only fit one specific model of car (unless different models share the same mirrors, like Karoqs and Kodiaqs, for instance).
That means if you change to a different car you’ve got to cough another hundred notes for another pair.
I’ve got a pair for an A3 (the 8V model) hanging up here collecting dust. I offered them for nothing on here a while ago but nobody wanted them.
Talk about a bunch of ingrates 🙄
On second thoughts, that may be a bit harsh.
If I was somebody else I don’t think I’d want mirrors that have my ugly mug looking out of them.

Not a problem. The chances of Mrs C letting me change the car again anytime soon is about the same as Roger winning Strictly (sorry Rog, wish it were not so!).

I would think they would sell well secondhand on Ebay? No cost to sell on there now - just a buyer's "premium"...
I was lucky that I have swapped from a Volvo V70 to a V40 and the mirrors are the same shape despite having very different shape indicators, so it's effectively the same mirror.
I have, incidentally, cut 50mm off the end of the arms on mine, because they stick out so far when towing an Eriba. The law is that any mirrors must not protrude more than 250mm beyond the width of the outfit.
There is a safety lanyard available as an extra, which I bought when I bought the mirrors, I but have given up using them, because the assembly is so solid and the lanyard ends tend to flap about, which i find irritating. I have also now bought the anti-theft kit for peace of mind at service station stops - I got them from the UK site, but they were posted from Zolio in the Netherlands.

I have ordered a set of mirrors (EMUK) via the link. £124 including an ant-theft thingy. I didn't bother with the safety lanyard as the flapping about might be irritating. 3 - 4 days delivery via DPD.
I've been using Towsure Rock Steady mirrors (£40) but these are fixed on using rubber straps and clips. The top thumbscrews have got little plastic 'spreaders' which tighten up against the top of the mirrors - the problem is that these can easily fall off and if lost (maybe in long grass) you will have an unmountable mirror.
The other big downside on the Towsure mirrors is that (1) the fixing clips interfere with the movement of the electric mirrors, so if you change drivers and want to adjust the car mirrors - you can't, and (2) each time you fit the mirrors you need to adjust them to suit. A PITA if you are on your own.
I'm hoping the EMUK mirrors are much better as they are designed for the car (a Subaru XV).

You're right, I could put them on eBay. It's one of those things I never quite got round to doing.
I'm not really complaining about nobody on here wanting them.
Since they only fit A3 8Vs the market is quite small, and like you I've shortened the arms. Which is no good for someone who wants longer arms.
Those aren't real reasons. They're just excuses for bone idleness.
I thought briefly about the anti-theft things, but the car is hardly ever unattended when the mirrors are on.
We don't feel the need to turn going for a wee at a motorway services into a big adventure involving both of us, so the one who isn't having a tiddle stands guard and looks mean.
If we were going to leave the rig for a long time - though I can't really imagine that scenario - I'd whip 'em off and stick them in the boot.
Safety lanyards?
If the mirror came adrift, I reckon the damage it'd do to the door while crashing around on the end of a bit of string before you pulled over would cost a lot more to fix than the price of a new mirror, especially if you were on the motorway.
I don't like extension mirrors at all. I appreciate their benefits totally and understand the legalities of their use, but that doesn't stop me thinking they're horrid things.
If one fell off, I think I'd take some perverse satisfaction watching it go under the tyres of an artic.
