Awning rail sealant

Please can anybody tell me can water ingress come from awning rail .I've noticed a water dribble line (stain) in the corner wall board under the front and offside locker . On inspection I took out the inspection panels in the lockers where the access to the corner strip light is and noticed some of the insulation foam that is glued to the roof wet . And the only place I can imagine the leak as come from is the awning rail. The Eriba is 10 years old and the sealant looks very dry and hard . It isn't soaking in water
But obviously shouldn't be there. A caravan engineer as told me to wait for a good down pour the go out and have another look. Any advice or ideas would be appreciated..cheers Phil....

Phil, they can go in various places, so a photo may help a member home in on the exact cause. The awning rail has had its mastic sealing tape replaced by some owners and is the probable cause. I would search the forum for this. If at the rear it could have been the seal around the top stop light.

Don't despair Phil. Once you've found and fixed it it'll last for decades. It sounds like your Eriba just needs some TLC.

And you don't have to wait for any rain, of course; a good drenching with a hose might give a more 'targeted' approach to locating the source...
