Polishing the Pop Top

Been a little remiss over the past two years and only washed the roof and not polished it. It looked clean but a bit sad so I had a go with some AutoGlym yesterday. What a difference. See photo (half and half).

I should really wax it now with carnuba based car wax as per the good advice of Pepe le Pew but I don't have the energy and after a recent accident on a small ladder I also don't have the courage to get up there for long periods of time.

Randa.

Well done ! Even with a good step ladder it is surprisingly awkward to reach the centre of the roof.

Hi Chris. I use a "two in one combination ladder" opened out and have taped pipe cladding to the tops of the stringers before adjusting the height and leaning it onto the awning rail.

Safe enough although the front corners of the Eriba are difficult to lean it against. Always have the boss adding weight to the bottom rung as I lean over the roof. Still difficult to polish though as I see that I've always missed a bit so have to go over it again.
