De-laminating floor anyone?

A guy who I had seen but not really spoken to on site was drilling under his van yesterday, and as I passed he wanted to chat, it appears he had a "soft clicking floor" so after a bit of research he bought a de-lamination plywood repair kit. The kit consisted of some epoxy glue, some dowels and a couple of syringes. Basically you identify the soft area of floor, drill a centre hole where it is worst, then 8 other holes at 4 inches away from centre (so 4"radius or 8"diameter) then you put the epoxy glue in the syringe and inject it i to each ofthe holes, and then bung it up with a dowel. His kit cost (wait for it) £52

I know I could do it for well less than half that, I'm just posting this as help if anyone has sufferred from a floor de-lam.
