Excuse me messing about, but I wanted to upload this drawin' what I did to see if the resolution is any different to that in picture gallery uploads.
I'll bin it in a bit.

It's a lovely rendering, and an idyllic scene.
It choked my iPad when I tried to load it (took four goes, though the gallery version popped up immediately), so I'd say the file size was much larger, and so probably the res too.

You aren't still on a dial-up connection are you?
Two files (photos) of the same size display differently depending on whether they're inserted into a post or uploaded into the gallery, and I can sort of see the logic in it. If all the gallery pictures were as big as the one I stuck in the original post - i.e. at something approaching original size, then the whole thing would grind to a halt in ten seconds flat and if you had anything other than fibre optic broadband you'd grow a Captain Haddock beard while you were waiting for the pictures to display.

It choked my iPad...
Anyway, I feel as if I'm blowing my own trumpet just a bit too much for comfort by posting again, so I'll shut up

This time it came up quickly, so all's well.
We're right at the end of the wire, as far from the exchange as could be, so we might as well be on dial-up. There was a card though the door a couple of weeks ago, saying that they were "installing superfast fibre broadband in your street" (albeit we live on a farm with no street, just a dirt-track), and instructions to ring a number. So I rang the number and a voice from the other side of the world said "Yeah, we just winding you up, innit."
