What are these used for?

Some of you may remember a little puzzle I set you about 3 years ago. It was regarding a few unusual additions to a French Triton we spied while in SW France. What were they used for?
They can be seen in picture A, B and C.

The reason I bring it up again is because we may have the answer to picture B. Today a photograph of a different Eriba was posted on Facebook which shows this:-

Although perhaps the French Eriba used the tube for something different. What are your ideas?.

the first a picture is fresh water filler, had one on the Monza
3rd c picture could have a sunken battery or wet locker in front of leg?
it could even be a water tank or waste water, sunken porta potti to fit under seat. or maybe a bath?

I used to carry fishing rods in the same tube arrangement under a motorhome and planned the same system for our Eriba but the spare wheel is in the way.

As for the other box...... If the tube carries frame then the box might hold the canvas?

Now I've seen it again, I'm thinking it would be possible to adjust the length of the tube "hangers" to fit elsewhere, after all a motor mover would hang down at least as far? Just a thought I might look into it myself as I like the idea

A piece of soil pipe (clean!!!!!) and 2 screw on end caps and 3 maybe 4 attachments

I use just such off cuts of down pipe to store my fly-fishing rods, although, to be fair, Johnny Frenchman's looks rather too substantial for that (looks like the cap end is lockable so the contents must be attractive to chummy).
My second guess is that it is where Carla Bruni used to stow Nicolas Sarkosy when they went off on discrete Eriba weekends. You were in the company of powerful people and didn't even know it!

The oblong box in picture 3 is a mobile nuclear reactor for powering the van on non hookup sites the round tube stores spare fuel rods (probably uranium) and picture one shows the filler cap for topping up the deuterium oxide or heavy water.

Dashed clever those Frenchies

deuterium oxide or heavy water.

Would the heavy water unbalance the front end of the van
