Mattress Topper

Just back from a trip to Devon/Cornwall and we both agree we need a mattress topper the bed is just a "teeny" bit too hard. We use a pair of different weight quilts and alternate winter/summer top and bottom
I tried a memory foam topper a few years back but found it too hot. As I suffer from asthma we are looking for something with natural/man made fibre.
Any recommendations?

We have a Durolay foam topper from the VW campervan rock and roll bed doing nothing and Carole has the idea of cutting it in half for our beds and just a light weight duvet on top. Might get round to it.

We have used a fleecy mattress topper in the past and it was ok.
