hello and
the insurance quote sounds fantastic compared with what dropped through our post box this morning £600. [shock]

Collected the Triton today, all OK and towed beautifully. Got an unnamed hitchlock with it that we cannot fit - although it fitted at the sellers place! Also got a Bulldog wheel clamp, that looks good enough. Will take some pics tomorrow to post, thanks for all the advice and good wishes. Now just need to fill it with stuff.......easy!

Great. Looking forward to seeing the pics. Take a photo of the hitch lock as well as someone on here might be able to throw some light onto why it doesn't work for you...
Now the fun starts. When filling it with "stuff" just think of it as your Puck and then you'll have loads of room for yourselves...

Here are the pics. You can see the new tug as well, just, it's a Citroen C5 auto estate 2.2 Exclusive. Old but hey it's a Citroen! Just needs a towbar which I have just ordered. The old(!) tug, a 2003 Xsara estate 2.0 Auto towed it well but I wanted proper Citroen suspension. Yours for £1400, lovely car.

Nice looking Triton Citroeriba. Well done. Bet you can't wait to get out there with her. Plenty of room in the new estate car too.
Do you know what the problem is with the hitch lock? Does the van have an ALKO stabiliser tow hitch or is it something different?

You may want to either sit down or put a Tenalad on before looking at the photo below with Eriba models in being towed by ???????

Love the models - we have loads of Citroen models but have never found an affordable Eriba! The little hook I have no idea what it is for, unless it was used in conjunction with a bike carrier. You can see the fittings at the rear. There is a little hook also on the left.
I have now fitted the hitchlock - we were trying to fit it upside down! Suppose we could have turned the van upside down instead......Started to fill it up but rain stopped play.

Well spotted, Nev. I'd say it has been installed upside down. Mine's the same as yours.

But, having said that, here's a current advert for a 430 from AL's website.

Maybe it depended on which person on the production line fitted them?
