Hi, Just to say hello. We have just bought a Triton 430GT touring to replace our 1970's Puck. Sad to see it go but it is with a friend who will look after it.....We needed just a bit more room as we are getting not so young! A question, I have been quoted £180/190 for insurance. Is that about right (C&C Club/Drewe)?
Will try to put up some pics probably on facebook group Friday when we get it. Will be towing with a C5 2.2 estate rather than the 2cv!DSCF7651.JPG - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte)

I found Saga uncompetitive on price and opted for Cover4caravans (Alan Blunden & Co Southend). Over four years their quotes have always been the best.

What engine did you have in the 2CV, surely not the standard 602cc twin?

Mine was £157 for £13000 worth of cover which I'm quite happy with

Hi Citroeriba and thanks for joining us. Lovely photo of your 2CV and Puck. We look forward to seeing photos of your Triton after you pick it up. We'd love you to add a few on here as well, perhaps in the Triton Gallery?
regards

Just got sorted with Saga at £123. That will do fine. Yes we have towed the Puck with 602cc 2cv and also our 2cv van and Ami 6 estate, all 602. Amazing cars, you just need all the gears and they are a tad slow! Still got them all and will maybe use the Camp-Let old trailer tent sometimes but this is really to replace the Citroen HY camper we have had for 25 years. Still have it of course, its peanuts on a classic policy plus free tax but guess sometime will sell it. We hope to go further afield now with a bit more speed and comfort!

There was a Citreon rally in Gloucester last year they even had one of those Maserati engined (I think) jobbies I 'll see if I can find a few pics

Saga used to write to me before I was age qualified I used to get so annoyed with them but now we've kissed and made up I try them for a quote first mind you my car insurance is over £100 more if I went through them

Yes i think it was the SM Rally - you need deep pockets for those! Plus they stay in posh hotels so didn't go!

One of our members, M&M, are involved in 2CV racing. They use their Eriba Troll as team HQ in the pit lane I believe.

I can clearly remember the sound of their Triumph Stag pulling the Troll up the hill as they were leaving the EOC spring rally at Charmouth. Gorgeous!
