Thanks for sharing Dave.
There are several Mini-Puck owners who have links with this Forum and one member, Minikay recently posted this. It's wonderful to see these little Eribas are becoming as cherished as the classic cars that are towing them. I wonder when Hymer will get the message and re-introduce them?

It really puts it into perspective doesn't it? There's me, and I daresay others like me, worrying that our "new technology" towing vehicle will get us to our destination yet there are fabulous classic VW's, Minis, 2CV's etc, towing their Pucks for 1000's of miles.
The proud owners probably know every nut and bolt that holds them together and keeps them going. It's as motoring used to be. For example, I know that Eribafolk member TonyH69 is currently enjoying a family holiday in Italy with his VW bus Elvis, towing his Puck, the Colonel.

You're probably right but this German registered chap was seen at Dover by Bengi either going to, or coming from the UK meet..

It was at the Kent Event Centre at Detlng near Maidstone. The International Mini Meet is held in a different country each year, next year it is in Lithuania - I'll be going, but I'm going to chicken out and leave the Puck at home..........

My first car at the age of 18 in 1984 was a russet brown British Leyland Mini 1275 GT Registration no FCW 985S and I paid £850. I don't think in those days the silly insurance quotes for young people had kicked in as mine was £148 third-party fire and theft. It surprising what you can remember from a long time ago and yet I can't remember what I had for breakfast..
It was a great little car, very fast with the legendary go-cart handling characteristics, I do however remembering it snapping its engine mounts for fun due to the torque, door hinges breaking, getting in on a cold morning and wondering if it will start, getting wet feet from inherent build issues, engine cutting out if you went through a puddle and the dreaded rust that would spout from every panel as quick as you could change it out. Would I have another again?... I most certainly would, I loved that car.
Now this will make all mini owners cringe, I traded it in for a Lada.....
When I go on holiday I like to pop my top!

My first "new" car was a 1275 gt reg no KM975B in orange, also had a Cooper then a Cooper S and years later a 2002 BMW Cooper S, loved each of them. The reg on the first was BFG plates and because I was young! Had not passed my test (when I bought the car) and was driving on a permanent green card, it cost me over a grand for the first year, partly because I also took it to Northern Ireland later that year

My first new car was also a Lada...... Samara. Engine designed by Porsche, body by Farina, built to withstand a Russian winter.
100k miles and aside from servicing costs, I had to buy a new voltage regulator.
Apparently, when they were imported, via Bridlington I think, all the russian electrics were removed and replaced with Lucas bits. Needless to say these were usually the bits that failed.
One starter motor (replaced under warranty)
and the aforesaid voltage regulator.
