We get loads of them and are registered with TPS or whatever it is, but can't be bothered (therefore our fault) with taking down the name and number of the company and reporting them.
However we have noticed one of the eaves wooden soffit and fascias looks rotten and needs work, it's right on a corner. I have contacted a local guy who has done a couple of small jobs for me and he will pop in and discuss. On Thursday just as we were going out to the art exhibition in Winchester Discovery Ctr, the front door bell rang and I answered to an obvious sales bloke, giving him little time as we were ready to leave, until he said Anglian Glazing, in the area and he had noticed our problem. I then thought a second opinion/price would be useful and set up a visit for their chap the Friday evening.
When our daughter visited on Friday a/noon and we told her, she went off on one about don't touch them. She had had trouble with them when she fell for their pitch to talk about new windows and doors. She said it took 5 hours to get rid of their chaps with the hard sell.
After she had left, Anglian called to confirm our location and I said it's cancelled. They called back 30mins later and I gave them short shrift about no more contacts as I had heard of a rough experience from our daughter. Hopwfully that;s the end of it, but with their aggressive sales policy I am not sure.
