I am pleased to report that since then, and taking note of the advice given, Blueyonder and I have successfully negotiated several passes in Switzerland and Italy. We entered Italy via the Samplon pass, which in all honesty was not expected to be a problem as it is an HGV route. However we decided to return via the Grand St Bernard Pass. No problems and we were the only Caravan up there (photo attached). We even got thumbs up from German Motorcyclist as wound our way up. I must admit that I was happier to go up the Italian side and down the Swiss, as I am sure you will all appreciate it is easier going up then down! But I was only the co-pilot as BY does all the Piloting as I navigate, so I suppose my observations are somewhat limited.
So those challenges out of the way, we now have another. We have always fancied trekking in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. Well having done the Alps, Kilimanjaro, the Himalayas and other lumps and bumps throughout England and Wales, it fits in with our interests. We plan to be in Spain from the end of April to the end of June next year to try some of what the Spanish have to offer, so we thought how about Morocco.
So my question is has anyone taken their Eriba to Morocco, what was their experience and what are the do’s and don’ts we need to be aware of??
I wait with eager anticipation to learn of your experience and here your advice.
( Not sure what I have done to get 4 copies of the same photo in this post!!)
