AGH ! Brushes -nasty scratchy things 
All that grit and dust scratching the paintwork NO - plenty of clean water PLLLEASE !!! Lightly sponged and finished off with a soft, clean chamois leather Then a polish with NON ABRASIVE polish
Actually I don't need to bother with the polish 'cause mine's a dimple finish - just finish off with "Bobby Dazler"
