Automotive Leisure's Showroom
If for no other reason, have a look at the Eriba with the sky blue trim, 5 minutes into the video. Is this unusual? There's also a newish Eriba with a strange locker box handle, just a short while later.

It's also in a frame at 5.10 with a full van view - not sure if it is film or finished there is also a blue tinge around the roof rail so it could be something to protect it. Dont like it myself! if it is finished.

Most odd looking.
I notice that the 'Touring' decal on the side of the van is the same script as the usual red, but in turquoise too and surely that wouldn't have a covering on it?
The video isn't sharp enough to show what the blue line above the roof rail is, it looks as if it might be some tape that's been peeled off the rail and left stuck to the roof curvature. There's certainly nothing up there to paint, just the curve of the roof.
Having said, if it is tape, why is there none on the mid rail, indeed if you were painting all the bits blue, surely you'd change the mid rail infill tape from red to blue or white?
Another thought, surely new vans all go through the workshop before being displayed, rather than via the showroom?
And another thought, I've seen lots of photos of vans arriving at AL onboard delivery wagons and I've never noticed blue covering before.
A mystery with clues in both directions. It's certainly a newish van, so would someone paint a nearly new van like that and then get rid of it to AL within a few months?
As to the gas locker handle, I've seen one or maybe two others with similar, but black, handles and always thought they spoilt the looks and this white (therefore nearly new) one strikes me the same. It's not as if opening the gas locker is difficult or done that often that a handle is really necessary. I mean would you fix a handle to the outside of the boot or bonnet of your car?

Referring to the gas locker handle; Eric Cox (EOC) had one fitted to his new 420. The stainless steel handle has a profiled back (to fit the waist rail) and he had AL cut and fit a piece of the rail for the handle to actually fit to on the locker. The one in the video looks identical. I wonder if he has sold it?

Eriba with Blue Trim. We've just discovered these photos. It's a special Powder Blue addition.

The red bits on the Chili special edition I quite like, there is red in the standard logoes etc anyway, but powder blue doesn't have any connection with any Eriba back catalogue or history and to my eyes looks plain naff.
