Back in March there was a thread about jack pads for an Eriba with two pins, I have searched high and low and I cannot find any anywhere, any ideas, apart from a four inch square block of 3/8 ply? I think with that comment I am giving my age away!

I remember the thread but not found,
someone suggested drilling some holes to make 2 pinned more secure,
may be able to use a one pin side to side, rather than the normal front to back pin orientation
will test the search button, not used before..

came up with 75 threads under the search word 'pads'
hope this is it

I gave up trying to find the two pin feet, I use the round plastic pads in the link. I did toy with the idea drilling four holes and then zip tie the pads to the caravan foot. To be honest it's just as easy to have them in the side locker and throw them on the ground when needed.

Are we talking 'steady pads' here. 'Jack' suggests you raise your van on them. They're not for that, they're just 'steadies'. I use a single plastic pin variety with no problems except when I moved the van with the mover when I had one steady deployed. It ripped the plastic pad off its pin. However it was able to be refitted and although the pad has cracks where the pin fits through it still hangs together and works fine.

Raydyot used to make twin pin ones. I searched some time ago. I Googled, Yahooed and Asked Jeeves. I looked at hundreds of caravan jack pads and I e-mailed a couple of on-line sites that used to sell them. I searched e-bay and pre-loved until they were fed up with me! But they are no longer made and old ones are rarities. Anyway I have now given up the search and, as wood tends to split and warp, In the end I ordered some motor home pads - they are a bit like heavy duty chopping boards and can't be attached but being yellow perhaps they don't get left behind. They seem pretty tough. You can use them for levelling as they will stack. Bit pricey especially if imported – these are on e-bay and in the UK

I am surprised that an enterprising young person hasn't already re-started production of the two pin jack pads, along the lines of the originals made by Raydot. I'm sure there is a ready market out there, just going by the number of people surfing the net for them.
They were unbelievably popular, and I cannot see why they went out of production. There is so much useless rubbish produced, it amazes me that we still cannot get them.
Ian.
