A seasonal question for the anthropomorphists

Over the past 12 months there has been quite a bit of chat about the names many Eribafolk give to their caravans.

So, as our Eribas are clearly considered to be members of the family, what are you buying yours for Christmas this year?

I'm still tempted to get an ALKO premium jockey wheel.....

It is also in the Hymer Eriba website as an optional extra

A seasonal question for the anthropomorphists What's an anthropomorphist?
New lightweight duvets with microfibre covers, colour coordinated. Ideal for long term travelling as they are supposed to wash easily and dry quickly.

Nothing, zero, absolutely nout. The wife and I have decided that there is far too much consumerism in this world of ours today and essentially we would be buying each other gifts simply for the sake of it...............well it's the done thing after all isn't it. So instead, we shall be making a donation to a locally run hospice where those in the last throes of life can pass away in comfort and peace. The hospice relies totally on voluntary donations and so we decided that exercising a bit of social responsibility as opposed to buying each other yet more socks was the proper way to go and reflected more of what Christmas was SUPPOSED to be about.

We have told doo dah that we are getting him a big sister for Christmas but it may be late arriving. Just incase anyone is thinking a miracle has happened, it hasn't and I am not having a baby at the grand age of 60. we meant either a Hymer nova or if funds allow a troll. I really think Mark has lost the plot like I did a long while ago. Yesterday we went to llanrwst to visit and clean doods, we had a fantastic day and spent hours with doo dah cleaning him etc. Then at home time we did our usual, I stand in front of doo dah chatting away to him telling him that we will be back soon. Then Marks chirped in that we will be getting him a big sister, so that's both of us stood chatting away to what some may just think is just a caravan. It was until half way home that we remembered the security cameras that the lovely couple who own the caravan park have. Oh dear, they were both most likely having a good giggle watching us. I really do think that we both could do with going back to our shrink.

A Christmas idea for your Eriba.
Today at Lidls. A robust looking 2000 watt Induction Hob, £29.99. Since having ours (not a Lidls one) we've not used the Eriba gas hob at all. Only down side is you'll have to treat the Eriba to a set of special pans as well.

I wish you lot would stop trying to induct me ( whatever that is)

(wonder if I can sue for that?)

A winter cover seems in order

I'm probably one of the last on here to discover this cartoonist, Armand Foster, but his caravanning cartoons don't 'arf make me chuckle.
We bought some friends of ours a calendar 2 years ago and it was well received.
If you scroll over the links you'll see some of his work and punch lines which makes me think he must be a caravanner or he is a really good researcher.

We are thinking about giving Erica a mover, but worried it's another remote for hubby to play with!! The other idea we had was a double mattress. We have so far not put the bed away during the day as we have a small dinette at one end and think a mattress would be somewhat more comfortable. I did get the measure our but found it was 2" shorter one side, so presume we will have to have it specially made...could be an Easter present at this rate...
