This is quite an interesting read. May be wrong, but there was an advert on UK television recently which featured a VW camper lookalike. Could it have been a Borgward B611?

I couldn't let this one go. It would appear that the van in the advert has intrigued a few others on the interweb as well.
Just managed to trace the advert and the actual van used and yes. it is a Borgward.

I was trying to remember a 2 stroke car, and thought "Borgward" it was actually Wartburg,
but they both made 2 stroke cars at some stage.

How right you are Crow,This is certainly a fact about Borgward of which I was not aware. A quick internet search confirms this fact and threw up some very interesting history and pictures .

Now I'm that much wiser - thanks
