I couldn't let this one go. It would appear that the van in the advert has intrigued a few others on the interweb as well.
Just managed to trace the advert and the actual van used and yes. it is a Borgward.

How right you are Crow,This is certainly a fact about Borgward of which I was not aware.
A quick internet search confirms this fact and threw up some very interesting history and pictures .Now I'm that much wiser - thanks
