Being interested in most things (slightly less so with sport)
I bought a Cobblers Hammer (well just the head) all rusty
and pitted and cleaned it up and polished the face. It will go
into a box now along with other odds and ends I have collected.
I take snaps, I make things, not very well, but I do try in fact I was
told I am always trying. I took one of those air freshener things apart
(after it hissed at me in the bathroom and I thought it was a snake)
It has a geared electric motor and a gear train to change rotary action
into one that presses an aerosol button, just the job for a camera release.
I shoot air rifle, fish, watch wildlife, 'specially Bats, caravan more often than Pete
Fly Kites and allsorts of other odd stuff (i'd like to make a coracle sometime)
What do you lot do?
PS I might try painting, it looks easy enough .....
Do I sand the wood first?

do I sand the wood first?
if you are doing pyrography yes, makes the tool (electric or gas soldering iron) glide over wood easier

Now here's something that could be a super project. I hope he doesn't mind, but I've pinched the link from Vanman (Geoff) who put it on Facebook earlier this evening.

Actually I lied I keep a dog and have a big hole in the ground.

That big hole is my biggest worry. It's 25 years old and lots of bricks are spalling, pointing crumbling and whilst we don't/can't use it, it is an intrinsic part of the property, quirky and idiosyncratic and beautiful in a funny way. So do we spend a lot having it renovated or fill it in?
I had nothing to do on this hot afternoon
But to settle down and write you a line
