Having persuded OH that a TV would be a good accessory (well nearly) if I buy an AvtexL165DRS do I need a STH 1000 2000 0r 3000 aerial (and what's the difference?) Generally confused!

New TV aeriel - any recommendations, please

I've got the 3000 model which I occasionally use with my Avtex TV.
Works a treat in most areas.
I use the suction mount and just move it around to the side best for signal and stick to a window.
I normally try to stick it onto the toilet window if possible.

Thank you Hob. And thanks Mcinnd - I've gone for the 3000 and an Avtex TV - so we can tuck ourselves in happily when it rains!!

Tried out the Avtex aerial at home with no success!! Thought it was a failure but tried it at Polstead last weekend. Just stuck the thing on the roof, pointed it in the direction of Sudbury (direction found on app as advised) and tuned TV in. Simples - now happy.

Several people have said it is more responsive on a mast.

Can you use ordinary TV/DVD combo's if pluging in an aerial?
