Walker awnings and Trolls - can you help?

I wonder if there's a kind soul out there with a Troll and a Walker who might be able to help me out with something. A Troll with the cast metal pole brackets screwed to the awning rail rather than the plastic pad affairs that come with the awning, that is.

It'd be really helpful to know how far apart the outermost brackets are, centre to centre.

I don't think it matters whether or not it's a higher rail as on the latest Trolls. For what it's worth, ours is a 2008 with the non-higher* rail.

Thanks

Pete

Pete, we can measure ours as after all you're having our awning which fitted with the hooks. I didn't like the plastic pads so screwed the brackets on. I measured the awning to get the dimensions. You will need a slotted bracket for the middle pole as it is a flat section on the end of the middle support.

Yes please, Martin.

I didn't ask you because I'd forgotten that you were replacing the Walker pads with the proper brackets

Thanks

Magic. Thanks.

I realise it must sound as if I'm overcomplicating this whole thing, but the van is stored where I can't work on it and I can't put the awning on it when it's over the road from our house...

I thought I might.

Do these things have a Google-friendly name?

I know what they are, but it's no good trying to describe one to a search engine.

The two side ones are called Caravan Awning Pole Brackets but do you think I can find any metal ones?
The middle one, I can't find for love nor money but to give you an idea of what to look for or make for yourself, it looks something like This

Got three of them, Guv'nor, and metal ones to boot, but

Me neither. Where's Rodders when you need him?

He's good at finding stuff.

I think a call to Jandi might be a plan. Or Bowen Awnings. Or both.

Find the centre of the awning rail, mount the flat bracket centrally then measure
3mtrs. (the width of the awning) either side this should put the hook rings just
on the curve each end of the awning rail. Thats how I fitted mine for the Sneek.
Don't forget to space the fittings out from the awning rail gutter.

My centre fitting was around 40mm out!!

Well if you could find it, I'm sure we could come to some mutually advantageous arrangement.

Most gratefully yours,

When I measure the brackets, I'll take a quick picture of the middle bracket and put it on here later.

I will look for it soon, my garage needs a couple of skips worth removing
but if you are not in a hurry I will keep looking.
