Sally and Jon

First welcome to EribaFolk - being new myself and awaiting delivery, yes, they are a very friendly and knowledgeable group of persons.

Sorry to hear about your disaster, we hope you have a trouble free claim and that you will soon be up and running and that this mishap becomes just a memory. As someone else said we all dread this kind of thing happening.

Pat & Rob

welcome to eriba ownership although rather shorter model than anticipated

although the eriba is being sorted
has the insurance asked to check your car?
dependant on mph the damage may occur to the tow bar area, lucky the air bags not deployed
get the car into garage for a check for peace of mind

hope everything goes ok

Really pleased for you both and glad to hear that Colin is back in good health.
Do you wish to give the workshop you used a plug?

Well worth knowing.

I realise that there was little you could do to avoid the accident but because we've got an older Eriba without a 3rd brake light, I bought one designed for the rear parcel shelf of a car and made a mounting bracket to fix it inside the rear window of our Troll.

I've also cut up a bright orange reflective waistcoat and made a reflective strip by wrapping it and sewing it around a piece of cardboard which I hook between the window handles of the rear window.

Don't know if it will help but it can been seen a mile off. As you might have guessed, I'm paranoid. .

We used MG caravans in the past. They have just moved from Hertford out to Royston so just a bit too far for me to use their excellent parts and accessories dept.

Ha,,, I do not think you are being paranoid. Must admit since it happened I am flinching every time a car pulls up behind me,, and I'm waiting for that horrible BANG.. Still, I will have to get over it...Looking forward to taking Colin out again..
