Calamity Colin

Brought our lovely Puck L, named Colin .... A couple of weeks ago.... Sitting at traffic lights in Norwich, minding our own business.... And bang, someone drove straight into the back of poor Colin.... Hence the new title 'Calamity Colin'. We had only owned him for a couple of hours....

OUCH!!! Sorry to hear that. Is there a lot of damage and can it be fixed? I imagine it to be a bit more expensive to fix the back end of a Puck L because of the kitchen or is it a fact that because it has a rear kitchen, it's a bit stronger than Eribas with a conventional layout?

Bit embarrassing really, having taken out insurance in the morning, before leaving to pick Colin up, and then making a claim in the afternoon... The guy who hit us, did, and is still taking full responsibility.... So we will see how it all goes, never dealt with an insurance claim before...
As for repairs, a local caravan repair garage had taken him away, and quotes have been sent.. Quite a lot of work needed... They seem confident about a decent repair... So here's hoping !!!

Sorry to hear of your mishap, we hope it all goes well for you, were Police involved? If so did they check the phone of the other person?

Pity, that could of shown the cause of the accident, for me sorry but if someone rear ends me or for that matter anything else! then it's Police first, the mere fact you were rear ended shows liability on their behalf, and I've seen so many "nice" people who claim responsibility change there mind when informed insurance will rise, resultant loss of no claims (unless protected), excess is increased etc etc etc

As I say we hope it goes well for you

he has claimed full responsibility to insurance company so far, and has also sent us two texts from his phone apologising, and accepting responsibility.... But as you say you never know....watch this space
Thanks for all your kind wishes

Ohhh nooooo no sorry t o hear that news when it should have been so exciting for you. I hope it all turn out well for you and one word of advice - trust no one. Been there and another party accepted liability after running me over, and when the police and ambulance came and the woman's husband turned up when he was nowhere near he had her to say it was my fault. Even though they didn't know the extent of my injuries they were prepared to lie!!!! Luckily for me it was not life changing bar 6 months recovery, but I find it shocking that people can turn and lie to get out of responsibility. Police investigated and found her guilty and were pressing charges.
