Electrics - 12v -240v problem

We bought a Puck L 230GT in Holland. The electrics work fine when connected to the car. However, when we arrive and hook up to 240v nothing works. The remedy at the moment is to remove all 5 or so fuses and replace them again then everything works correctly. Any ideas as to how we can fix this problem permanently would be welcomed

Sounds like the standard continental setup that assumes use of a hookup. I assume the 240v circuits work OK - fridge, power sockets? So, when you arrive on site, disconnect the car and then connect to the site 240v, are you saying that no 12v items work - interior lights, water pump? But If you remove the fuses and then put them back, 12v items work? Just checking I'm understanding the problem correctly. If I am, then I'm baffled! I wonder if there's a cutout that's misbehaving?
I must admit that I replaced the original 12v system on our 230GT once I twigged that it provided 12v AC rather than 12v DC. No problem for lighting and AC/DC LEDs but no good for the LED ribbons I fitted - it made them flicker. In the end I bought a new 12v power unit, removed the original transformer and modified the rest of the unit so it acted as just a fuse board. Cost around £100. I could dig out the modified circuit diagram etc if you're interested.

Rob. I'm grateful for your feed back. As I was not sure now what worked and didn't when the change over took place I got the van out of the garage and first conne4ct to mains - all OK, no surprise as that was the arrangement in the garage. Connected to the car - most OK! Now the only things that do not work are the top front 'navigation' lights. No problem with them before. After disconnect tried 240v again all working. Now, I wanted to follow the instructions of another on this site to change the reverse and fog over. I have looked at the box underneath and it looks a little corroded on some of the terminals. So I will need to take a closer look. Maybe this is where problems are arising. Thanks again Rob, is it OK to keep in touch on this topic? Adrian

Hi Adrian and welcome to Eribafolk.
Of course it's OK to pursue this topic. It'll probably be very helpful to others in the future.
I admit to being out of my depth here but I think that the junction box would be a good place to start.

Sorry, haven't checked in for a couple of days. Of course, happy to help in any way. I had to do the reverse/fog switch too! It's not surprising that terminals get corroded given the position of the box.

Hi Rob

Finally solved the problem. I have now completed the changeover of the connector block, not easy when you're colour blind! All seems to function correctly now and we are off to the Eriba Owners Club Spring Meet this weekend. So good test. Thanks again for your support. Adrian

Hi Adrian.
Give our regards to everyone when you're at Bridgewater. Have a great time and bring back plenty of photos for the gallery.
