Absolutley right, the Tebay one used to be very good, hav'nt been in there though for at least 3 years, no reason to expect a drop in standards though, this is how ALL motorway services should be! After all some are run by major high street retailers

Stopped at the North bound with my daughter last year coming back from Glastonbury festival, for breakfast excellent food and service. People were commenting on a strange smell but we couldn't smell a thing. For some reason when we moved away they stopped commenting and sniffing
Stooped in June this year at the newly opened South Bound as just as good but avoid weekends!

On the flip side, the Sutton Scotney services ( Roadchef ) southbound on the A34 near Winchester is a bloody embarrassment. 
Your only food choice is McDonalds or Costa Coffee. Couldn't even buy a sandwich or a bag of crisps. The car park was untidy with overflowing bins and the toilets were shabby.
For many years it used to be a Little Chef where you could at least get a cheap square meal and a decent cup of tea.

We fuelled up here on our way back from Scotland. At least 10p per litre more expensive than anywhere else (£1.22 per litre and the price was not displayed anywhere before getting to the pump). How can they justify that?
On the way up we paid £1.09 at the Gretna Green services.Randa
