The most recent Automotive Leisure newsletter arrived yesterday and it mentions a new showroom. I wonder where it will be?

Dunno. I can't see past that bloody apostrophe in Eriba's (sic).

Sheesh...

I'd do it for nothing, never mind a career

I just think that you owe it to yourselves and your customers to get your shop window spot on. It looks unprofessional and slipshod. In those situations, if you aren't sure about the spelling or punctuation of stuff, why not check instead of taking a punt?

AL is a big outfit, and they ought to be doing better. If it's the web designers' fault, then they need a boot up the arris.

Poor show all round.

I agree, AL's punctuation and spelling has been poor for years and at the least it marks a business down as an amateur operation.

My comments were nothing to do with Jason or his ability, old fruit. Not unless he was solely responsible for the website, at any rate.

They do Eribas.

They make their money selling, servicing and supplying parts for Eribas.

Eribas are their business.

And because of that - if for no other reason - I don't think it's too much to expect them to write the plural of Eriba properly. It's Eribas, not Eriba's, and it's wrong at least once on virtually every ruddy page of their website. And if it isn't Eriba's it's Eriba Touring's, for goodness sake.

It wouldn't (and hasn't) put me off doing business with them, but the fact of the matter is that it isn't correct and it should be. It looks sloppy, and doesn't give the impression of professionalism I'm sure they want to have.

That's it, really.

Exactly; and that's as far as it goes.
The sad thing is, they probably don't know the apostrophe is wrong. The sadder thing is, if they knew they probably wouldn't care. Sadder still is that neither would the majority of their customers.
