My Daughter has suggested we meet up at a campsite in Bala north Wales. Looking at the map (from Birmingham) A5, A494, these roads don’t look very caravan friendly, as any one driven this route with a caravan, or am I being a wimp ?

We were up that way last week (solo though, no towing) but the roads were good, some were exceptional! No pot holes, well cared for etc, we criss crossed Snowdonia and did 800 miles (not including the getting there and back journeys) 😎

Nice parking place at the end of lake Bala with toilets and showers. Look out for the roadside petrol stations!!

Did'nt see anything that would phase me if I was towing

Enjoy and have a great time

Likes to wax and have a smooth finish! Has an empty space where once a very polished Eriba stood😎

A5 is a good road..........at least all the bits I used were

2014 tour (7)

A class roads are the next step down from motorways ..........so are usually very good.

If worried have a look at the route on google earth.

You must have been a nervous wreck, Derek.

That's uphill the whole way
