Hello Eriba Folk.
I've just bought a 1994 Puck!!!

I take possession on Tuesday and she is already named and in my heart. She is a little tired and needs some love but I just can't wait!!
I've never owned a caravan before, always camping in tents. I'm nervous about towing and there is no manual. Does anyone know where I can get hold of a copy as I really am a novice!

I look forward very much to being an Eribafolk.

Nice to have you aboard Doris. We had never towed for many many years, but managed. You will need some guidance, the C&CC and the CC clubs do courses, but someone in here will offer advice.

Doris Puck and Flowerpotfairy I'm sure someone will be able to point you in the right direction for a 'Manual' for your Puck - anyway just ask any questions you wish in the meantime !

Hi Flowerpotfairy (cool name...) - I joined the forum yesterday and have already met some lovely folk who have been really helpful......we are getting our Eriba 530 next week and like you have never had a caravan before.....we have just joined the Caravan Club and my husband is going on the day and a half training they put on for beginners....it's not cheap (at £155) but has been highly recommended and covers all the basics including practise with towing and manoeuvring the van...I think there is a manual with our Eriba-not sure if it's in Dutch though!! x

Thank you for all the advice and kind welcome Hampshireman, Ribski, Janec, Jen & Gray. It's like one big happy family!
I've towed a boat so I'm hoping it won't be too different! I'm sure I'll be back after Tuesday with a zillion more questions.

Hello and welcome.

Am also going to be a puck owner soon too.
So know exactly how you feel. Let me know how you get on. As it's 20 years since I towed anything

Hello Frantone, Victoriana (I'll let you know on Tuesday when I get Doris!), Bev & Steve,
Thank you for your lovely welcoming messages. Thank you Bev and Steve for your hot tips on towing. I've also downloaded a 'checklist' from the Forum to help me remember what to do.
Hopefully speak soon.
FPF

Hi and
We were new last year and yesterday I towed for the 2nd time!! Weird, but I found it easier on the 2 way roads than the motorway...think on the motorway, hubby kept telling me to keep up with the traffic and felt pressured. Anyway, take your time and it will be a doddle.
Regards Chris and Keith
