I see what you mean about the awning rail Yvonne. It looks as though Puck L owners with conventional awnings have a full length awning rail above the height of the door.
Regarding the door position, I wouldn't have though that would cause a problem as the Puck L door opens forward from a position about 2' from the back corner whereas any other Eriba has a forward opening door about 2' from the front on the van.

I think the awning rail is the problem it only goes to the curve after the door so us only 2.5 metres long whereas the others curve round the corner which is easier to accommodate. The search goes on

Although not an airbeam, there is a photo of a driveaway awning on Pepe Le Pew's Puck L using the awning rail:- g8p26-Outdoor-Revolution-Movelite.html
There's also a bigger airbeam fitted to a Puck so length across the van shouldn't be a problem:- g8p848-Vango-Sapera-Airbeam.html#viewport
Let's see if any of our Puck L owners are using one or something similar

For those that have not seen a puck L the awning rail (puck height) goes all the way round the van and an extra rail is added above the door on the door side............

The sides of the tunnel do slope outwards to the maximum width on the ground of 3.1m, so that slope accounts for a 31cm increase each side, or about a foot.
I'd have though it might be worthwhile ringing Vango (or better still a retailer like Attwools who may well have one erected in their showroom) for an exact measurement of the length of that sewn-in strip.
If it's less than 2.5m (as it would appear to be) then you're all set.

Think we will be looking at oxygen movelite2 as not so dark we are a little worried about the size of pitch we would need for these so will take our time in the meantime will carry on with our tech canopy that we are happy with but do need proper awning for the wet and windy weather that we experience in Scotland
