P.S. I don't know why you didn't say something about it at the time. If someone mentions tact and discretion you aren't always the first person that springs to mind

Yes I saw that too but the footprint ie size was much larger we will see how we fare this weekend we've had it up in the driveway but I reckon to take the middle part if the groundsheet out when it gets worn. Problem I can see is won't go anywhere near the bag so just put loose in the car for now. Eddie reckons it will soften with u use. It is quite heavy to attach to awning rail but so far impressed time will tell full report after weekend

Quote: Magpie wrote in post #15This will sound as if I'm trying to put you off an inflatable awning - and I'm not at all; it isn't my place to say what you should or shouldn't have - but having had a look at that Kampa, the thing that struck me was that it's got quite a lot of guylines for dogs and leads and tethers to get tangled up in.
...the Kampa mini-pod...
And that was what reminded me of the other big reason for selling the Airbeam and buying Martin's Walker.
Unless the Quite Atrociously Windy straps are attached, there aren't any guys at all. We got thoroughly cheesed off with having to stop being slothfully indolent in order to unpick a small animal from a rat's nest of ropes and fluorescent string.
I appreciate that we make a rod for our own backs by having two dogs with us most of the time, and that they need to be tethered to stop one of them in particular from wandering off in a determinedly terrierish kind of way, but mostly we'd rather take them.
A round or two of Scrabble just wouldn't be the same even if their contributions are mostly limited to cat, squirrel, biscuit and walk.

This is my first contribution to Eribafolk!
After loads of research into buying an awning for our 420 that A. Is quick and easy to erect ( At the moment we have an Outdoor Revolution that is very flimsy, falling apart and takes ages to put-up) so, it had to be an air awning. B. The tunnel was a reasonable fit. And C. Perhaps most important, I'm not prepared to pay "silly" money for it!
I THINK I've found the right one. On Sunday we went to SK Camping at South Godstone to see the Kampa Travel Pod Midi Air. It looks well-made, with material at least twice the thickness of the Outdoor Revolution AND, with a clip-in groundsheet rather than one that's sewn-in. Also, the tunnel has adjuster straps to take-up any slack, although SK say it's a good fit for an Eriba. On their website it's advertised at £279.99 ( down from £550!!!) however, in store, we paid £249.
We're trying it out this weekend so I'll follow-up with wether it's good, bad or bit in between.

Hi we have been using the vango kela with out trition it fits our campervan too so we know how it works the only tricky bit is feeding through the rail but as I'm vertically challenged, but once that done its a doddle

One worry I do have with the narrow awning, as in not full width, is the side of the awning crossing over the window, something I would rather not do, so I guess that only leaves the full width awning as an option.....😢

I want to look at something of an air awning for winter use that would be quick. The Kampa ones have a high rails height although they look great and so fast to go up. Please share any finds so I can check out as well.

As promised, here are the images of the Kampa Travel Pod Midi Air, put-up for the first time last weekend.
All-in-all, for £229.00 I'm absolutely delighted with it. It appears to be well-made and quite strong. As it was the first time, I would guess it took me about 40 mins to put-up however, as I get more used to it and no-longer need to keep looking at the instructions, I would estimate about 20mins, single-handed. As you can see, I've opted to attach the "tunnel" onto the awning rail and use a long fibre-glass pole from side-to-side to keep it tight. Once you take-up the slack with the straps provided, it's a reasonably good fit. As our old Triton's rail is about 180 cms from the ground, the higher rail on later models would make for a better fit.
On our next trip, in a few weeks time, I'm going to try the straps-over-van method to attach the tunnel. I think it MAY give a tighter fit, and do away with the pole.
NOTE: We had no rain and almost no wind over the weekend!!

Makes for a very nice outfit and at a very good price. The only thing that put is off this particular model was the length ie we weren't sure how many pitches it would fit on.
