I think you have identified what so many find attractive about the Touring range - their timelessness. They simply don't age like other caravans and therefore retain their value better.

Ah fond memories of the Morris Marina 1.8TC, faster than an MGB but sadly fell apart too quickly. Towed a caravan well too.

When I was an apprentice one of my "masters" had the 1.8TC he put it up for sale and a chap came round with cash and a large double wardrobe as px he couldn't understand why anyone wouldn't want such a nice wardrobe!
