Names and Handles (ie nicknames)

Being very old and crap with names though good with faces, I haven't a clue when it comes to putting faces to names on this forum, hence my cockups on the Mini Meet and other threads.

I can remember folk whom I have met a few times, but not usually just the once

Sorry folks if I have upset anyone. If on the Mini Meet you can get back at me by buying me a pint.

I can sympathise with you, having spent a lot of my working life on building sites where you tend to call people by their trade rather than by name, mainly because it's a transitory environment, consequently I never developed the knack of names, because of this people often think me rude or uninterested.

Maybe a piece of paper in the window with your Eribafolk names could help each other Derek

I sympathise as well.
When teaching I could learn and remember 35 childrens' names and faces very quickly but I find it very difficult to remember names these days. I must be lazy about this. I am envious of those of you who seem to have forensic memories remembering dates and locations of camping and names of Eriba owners and their outfits but I also find it a bit intimidating.

I don't think he has a problem with his wife's name John. it's the others he can't remember.

Know exactly what you mean. Eribafolk-Derek-and-Carole.jpg - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte)

I think we are all getting to that age where we need them round our necks as well so that we can be returned safely to our Eribas....

Went to a motorbike rally once and tied a bit of string between the bike and the tent in case of too much wobble water

If I found the bike it was follow the string time

We tried that at Fforest Fields, Gloucester and Stratford John, ( wasn't he in Z cars ) but they stuck them in their windows instead so there were still Eribafolk wandering around in a daze

Yes the van signs are good, but it's when you meet folk minus their van is the problem. Let's have tee-shirts with it all emblozoned across the front and back and a new rule MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES.

T shirts are too informal Derek. I think a tattoo on the forehead would be more appropriate.

And those with hair can have their names carved in it. I may get my eyebrows sculpted, Hampshire on one, Man on the other
