Hello new troll owner, would like to know if you need winter wheels or can you leave the tyres on over winter and should I invest in a winter cover as my troll is sitting out in the English weather?

You can fit winter wheels but you don't have to, as for a cover we never did but the choice is yours

As mentioned, winter tyres & cover are purely optional , up to you

Hi Hector and welcome to Eribafolk.

We don't use winter wheels but because our Troll is stored outside we do use a Protec (or similar) cover which comes with a tow hitch cover and wheel covers.
We sit the wheels of the van on plastic cradles during storage.

I do the same as Roger I use a bespoke caravan cover for winter and tyre savers. I used to use winter wheels on my old Puck but decided not to use them again after the first year , caravans are inherently unbalanced when you jack them up. Also bear in mind some insurance companies bizarrely will assume that you have broken the condition of not having a wheel lock and null and void your policy in the event of it been stolen, so it is worth checking if you go down that route.
There is always a bit of debate wether to cover or not, my personal view is that it protects from the worst of the winter weather and the UV rays that degrades the GRP roof and encourages algae growth The tyre savers avoid flat spots.

Although we have never used a cover, I was perfectly happy, able and enjoyed cleaning our Eriba, however if / when we purchase another trust me even "I" would use use one! as I agree 100% with what has been said above

Hello from Derek and Carole. We use a cover but let the wheels take whatever strain

Thanks to everyone who replied will look at winter cover and leave the tyres as they will sit on a tarmac drive. Great to know there is help and advice out there from fellow Eriba owners.

Hector from fellow Troll owners.
I think a cover is a good idea. No winter wheels though as we use our Troll all year round.
However I do shade the tyre on the side of the prevailing sun when it's at home.

Another one with a cover, used all year round between trips. The tyres however take their chances.
