Winter cover for Puck (1993)

Hello Eriba Folk,
I've looked at previous posts but it's a bit of a minefield so could I please ask for a little advise on a Winter cover.
Is it necessary? Will it cause more problems than it averts? If it is a necessity, are there any brands you can recommend? Are newer Pucks bigger than older Pucks (hence the date mentioned) or maybe that's just the Puck L?

Monster thank yous.

Hi, personally I use a specialised cover which is bespoke for my Familia, I also use to have a 1993 Puck and again I had a cover from specialised which fitted like a glove.

Have a look at this thread to help you with the covers

Fitted winter covers

Not only does the cover keep the van clean it protects against the elements, especially the GRP roof which is susceptible to UV damage.

The Puck 120 shape changed slightly with the external gas locker, the later ones changed to an internal locker and that will be a consideration with a bespoke cover.
The Puck L is larger than the Puck and is almost the same size as a Familia.

Thank you Poptop320, I shall have a good read of the thread.
Would you definitely advise a Winter cover?

Automotive Leisure is over £100 cheaper. Does the quality reflect this do you know or is it just as good as the two expensive models?

Personally for me my feet are firmly in the winter cover camp and I would not be without one. Some Eribians do not use a cover and will have their own view.
The Automotive Leisure does not look like the same quality of material, the video on the AL website shows it to be less robust than the Protec or the specialised versions. Also be aware that if your van has any accessories such as a bike rack or a pull out awning the AL version will not fit.

We acquired a 2nd hand from an ex Eriab ist not far from us and it works OK. When I went to Protek many many months ago they did even reply to my enquiry. We cover over winter like Oct to Mar as it stands in our diriveway. Windows on vent setting.
