NEC show update
I'm surprised...there were about 15-20 Eribas on display today at the NEC.
No jump out deals, apart from one dealer throwing in a free mover or awning...but then charging you £300 to cut the leg off a table so it clips onto the rear interior walleriba back 2.jpg - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte)eriba front.jpg - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte).
One thing I did notice....on all Eribas, there was a queue of people waiting to look around, and the Hymer desks were taking brisk orders.
The other full size caravan dealers were looking very sedate in comparison, and the salesmen were getting together in groups to chat amongst themselves as customers were few and far between.
I think it's only a matter of time before the big three British manufacturers get their heads together and start designing an Eriba type themselves.

Nope...I'm going to Holland to get one...they will cut the leg off the table free of charge there :-)
Stuff the UK warranty...although I'm pretty sure that the Warranty is EU stamped, and the UK dealers are flaunting it. I will check directly with Hymer.

Hi Dr Nigel, I have already checked with Hymer in Germany, they confirmed that they will not honour any warranty work on a new van that has been imported from the mainland Europe into the UK. Hymer dealership Lowdhams in the UK have also stated that they will not carry out any warranty work on a non UK van as Hymer in Germany will not pay out.. There is a long thread on this subject somewhere on on this forum, I am away in my van at the moment so it s difficult to drag out the info due to slow broadband. The free motor mover is a good deal , a Reich mover fitted by a dealer will cost approximately £1500......
EDIT
Here is the warranty thread...

I think we are safe from the Brits trying to copy the iconic Eriba Touring range, they have had 57 years to try and emulate something similar... The Eribas are expensive because they are very labour intensive, they roll off the production line as a trickle compared to the normal caravans that are mass produced. Elddis did try a very small van called a Explore 302 but that didn't last very long...

Went to NEC Friday and raced around as only wanted a few bits. Bought myself a Duvalay so hoping for a good nights sleep and ditch the sleeping bag. Will try it out in a few weeks. When I was there they had almost shifted most stock and more would be arriving next day to arrive as some patterns/colours were sold out.
Gave up after a little while as I needed to be away from there by 2.30 to get ahead of traffic on M6 and M1 and M25 so gave up looking for any other things. Did get chance to race around a few awnings and ask and no one has an air awning to fit the Eriba other than Driveways. I like the look of Kampa at awnings but they won't fit.
