Well as Roger rather set the theme in the first post I will try to be as delicate as I can

It all started in October 2013 when I had a 2006 Triton delivered from Holland just 10 days before the clocks changed, Previous van was a Puck, no loo no gas fire no seating when the bed was made up etc

So I was desperate to try it out before the winter gloom set in

Frantic changing of mains electric sockets and a nail biting wait for a gas cylinder adaptor to get UK gas to work the appliances meant only 4 days were left before the clocks changed for me to go somewhere bearing in mind some things still needed changing to make it totally legal on the road I looked for somewhere nearby to test it

Now at this point I will not mention the name of the site as things may have changed in the meantime, but it was not too far up the road and was a long established camp-site mainly dealing with tents in the early days.

Being very near the season end there were very few people on site and I had the bit I was on to myself and merrily busied my self setting up my new pride and joy ...............all really enjoyable pink champers autumn sunset separate bed that could be left made up .......... lots of room for gladly bear to spread out

So far a great success.

Next morning and needing the loo ............ wishing to only use the on-board facilities for liquids I set off looking for the site facilities, first place I found labelled as a loo looked like a very old garden shed.

On closer inspection it was indeed a very old garden shed and the gents part comprised a sink and 2 cubicles ............ you could tell it used to be a shed as each cubicle had half a window at the back of it for lighting

Anyway while here I thought might as well use it........................ Hmm how to put this? well there I was sat sitting (no sitting) with my carefully folded paper in hand and leaned to one side (as you do) only to find both cheeks still firmly on the seat so leaned the other way ................ same result.

Seems the shed floor had rotted somewhat and the loo was no longer attached to it

So a stand up finish and the Triton loo got the full test for the next 3 days

Adds a whole new meaning to "this campsite is a dump"

Upstaged by the mascot .......... as many of you will know my travelling companion is my teddy bear Gladly,

However it can be a bit annoying when he does better with the ladies than I do

I usually strap him in the passenger seat belt before leaving home for a laugh

Which can cause some laughs on arrival

Zitat

The campsite owners wife came to visit gladly after hearing some nutter had turned up with a bear wearing a seatbelt in the passenger seat (i had told her I was bringing a pet) when I booked

However later in the week we had another visit from the campsite owners wife with a present for Gladly

His own tea set ................. must keep an eye on him, he's doing better with the ladies than I am.
