Packing breakables in the caravan

Hi.
As you can tell, I'm totally new to this.
I have bought some rolls of non-slip matting to use as protection for glasses and plates.
What's your best way to stop things from rattling about and breaking?

Plastic plates and glasses pewter tankards, but tea needs a proper cup so wrap in tea towels.
Or travel with them padded in the car.

We only take breakable mugs and glasses. I pack these tightly in a top cupboard with cloth table mats and kitchen roll in between. Our most-used glasses fit perfectly into our mugs with a sheet of paper in between. When travelling I also squash the rest of the roll into the cupboard to give a bit of tension on the closure. We've not broken anything yet (cross fingers!).

Our delicate etched glass victorian wine glasses(charity shop find 50p each) fit into our china mugs wrapped in a piece of kitchen roll, as for the plates bowls and side plates we invested in some corelle china a couple of years ago which are just on shelves in our tall cupboard (a boon for storage) and so far despite all our travels nothing has broken. We had a melamine dinner service when we first bought Marmite because there were usually a full complement of six now that the bread snappers no longer wish to holiday with us we treated ourselves to some china somehow food tastes better and |I don't think that's due to any increase in my culinary skills

I have just bought a plastic mounded thingy that has slits for plates of two sizes and holes for mugs or glass. It was only A fiver. Only thing it will only fit alongside the water container under the sink. I use Acropol (spelling,?) which I bought in France 20years ago. They are a China glass type plates. I will try a pic tomorrow.

Thanks. I'm not a fan of plastic for eating, so it has to be glass and china. I've found some quite thin non-slippy stuff that means the glasses with stack inside other things without slipping or knocking..... and thicker stuff between the plates.
One friend just told me that she couldn't hear the noise of her plates rattling from the car LOL.
Yes, tea towels are always needed so I'lls tock up on those too.
Thanks. I'm in a sewing frenzy getting curtains and covers ready.

I have taken a photo when inside it today and this is how I have eventually found where everything lives in the Eriba. All in the cupboard under the cutlery drawer my plastic moulded thing.
