We've only had our Sticky from mid-October so only used it to tow in November and not going too far (relatives in hospital curtailed our plans !!) but we felt it towed just fine. . When we go to Scotland in June we'll have our kayak on roof / bikes on rack hung off car together with towing Big Nellie, but our next trip out is in a few weeks to Sandringham to test out our new awning !!!

Hi there - when we got Big Nellie we got one from AL (that's where this Big Nellie came from) but have to admit we've had some issues with it, like the two front zips being about six inches too long and dangling across the front window, plus we feel there's something not quite right with the roof part - not a brilliant fit and finally after having used it for two weeks in France, then again for a few days in November when hubby pulled it out the awning rail thing the bit which goes into the rail some of it came unstitched - exceedingly unimpressed by this. We're hopefully sorting this out with AL shortly.
As a result we've bought a Walker awning and will be testing it out / putting it up for the first time when we go to Sandringham on 5th Feb for a few days - anyone likely to be there ?? - staying at CC site as CCC not open till a week or so later !!! It certainly feels better quality which is what we thought of the Soplair ones which we've still got to sell as they no longer fit.

Hi Big Nellie, we bought ours when they first came out in 2013, it is the metallic Granite Grey. We are delighted with it, it has pleny of pep from the 1.5 turbo dci engine. The only thing to watch with the early Indian made models is that some have a possible paint issue which seems to impact mainly the white and silver models. Mine was recalled to be checked, it was given anti rust waxed injection to the bodywork , and given a clean bill of health plus an extended years anI rust warranty. If yours is the Romanian model which can be identified with the new grill they don't have any paint issues.
We have the 4x4 model and it was great in the snow, overall it has been a very reliable comfy, practical car.

Hi Poptop320
Yeah hubby read about those issues but ours was a new last in Oct-2015 so was built in Romania. Not had any issues yet - bit of misting on the headlights and certainly not been tested in snow - would like to do that but there's not been any here yet this year We'll be giving it and Big Nellie a bit more of a test when we go to Whafedale in middle of March. Have put blue-tack over the green gear up / down arrows as they were driving me nuts - used to driving by engine noise and in some cases its better to be in a slightly lower gear - also taken a while to get used to the shorter gear box !!!
Watch this space !!!
Have fun - R

You will have the upgraded Romanian Laureate version with the cruise control and gear shift lamp, the early version like mine hasn't got them... , the short first gear is really meant for off road and in normal driving conditions it is easier to set off in 2nd gear. Although you will find the 1st gear invaluable when dragging the Eriba, it makes for a quick turn of speed at junctions and a really big bonus on hill starts....

Hi Poptop320
No we didn't get the Laureate version but the Duster 4x4 one - found out production was stopping in a matter of days when went for test drive, even the dealer didn't know that one !!! It does have cruise control (yet to be tested, will probably wait till go to Yorkshire in middle March) not sure what you mean by the gear shift lamp - unless it's those ruddy green indicators which come on to tell one when to change gear (now covered in blue tack as were driving me nuts !! ). Good at using 2nd gear for normal conditions and yep use 1st when towing or stuck in very slow moving traffic !! Just had rear side / back window tinted - looks good !!
