We have only come across one CC site York Rowntree that insists on nose in, however officially they shouldn't be using this policy according to the CC. To be fair the site is very tight and cramped and the awnings will be close to each other if a continental van parked up nose out. I always ask at the reception to what the pitching etiquette is for my Eriba, last time we went to York we were allowed to go nose out on certain pitches. It's not a big issue if you have a motor mover but personally I don't like my sleeping area facing the road..
