Hi, I have recently been given a '76 Puck. It is a little tired and needs a bit of tlc. I have stripped out all of the interior and am now contemplating removing the waxy/vinyl wall lining and boarding it out. Has anyone done this before, that could offer some help/pictures? Thanks

Hi Dan and welcome to Eribafolk.

One of our members, Mark Fitzgerald, almost totally rebuilt his Eriba 18 months ago. Here's the link to this thread:- Eriba Triton needing a lot of welding (2) and post no. #24 shows how he replaced the existing wall fabric.

Alternatively, a couple of years ago, a classic Puck owner was looking to replace the badly soiled wall fabric and after posting a photograph, the existing fabric looked almost like hessian.

We posted this link to self adhesive (and fire retard) hessian :- http://www.fabricuk.com/fabrics/391-self...-retardant.html ( it can be obtained elsewhere in various colours) and the owner went ahead and re-lined it. We've not seen the end result except in photographs but the owner was very pleased with it.

boarding it out

You might need to bear in mind the weight, Pucks have an axle weight limit of 500 Kg fully loaded anything heavy reduces your payload.

Hi Dan
It is a difficult job boarding it out. Due to the curves it took me ages to get the cuts right around the front and back. If I had the choice I would hang vinyl next time. Although that means taking out the window rubbers. I used white faced hardboard which is okay as long as it stays dry. I would recommend using 3mm ply and painting it as it does not stain if it gets wet. I used the caravan board joining strips and drilled and screwed to the steel frame top middle and bottom.

regards

Mark
