Hi all from a eriba newby!
I have recently acquired what I believe to be a late 70s eriba puck which is somewhat of a project to say the least. Though I don't mind a project, but was hoping you guys could help me with some questions I have regarding my puck.
Firstly both me and the chap I bought it from, don't know the actual age of the puck, we believe a 1976 model but perhaps you guys could shed some light as to what year you think it is?
I also need a few items such as a rear window that needs replacing and pop top canvas ! Where would I get such a window ? Infact where would I get any eriba parts from of this era?
As you can see from the pictures it's very much a project and I'm looking forward to restoring it back to original state. Please excuse the terrible shade of pink one of the previous owners have used on the interior !
Any other info you have and if Iyou spot anything missing from the puck please do let me know !! Appreciate your feedback guys.
John

looks like a super project
I believe a good place to get a replacement pop top canvas is from 'Matts-soft-tops' Google for info.Matt has specialised in hoods for Citroen Dyanes and 2cvs and has recently started doing pop top canvas for vintage Eribas. His workmanship is well known in the Citroen world and i've heard good reports from vintage Eriba owners - worth a try :)
I'm sure help with your search for a window will be forthcoming from other knowledgeable members on this Forum

Hi John and welcome to Eribafolk.
I'm no expert but I think your Puck is earlier than 1976.
Firstly, your Fabrication No. is 12797 and it has the German Bad Waldsee plaque. If you click this link :-How to date your Eriba and then follow the Forumeriba link on post #1 you'll find a list of Fab. numbers relating to the dates of manufacture. The nearest one to yours is 12802 which is, to the best on my knowledge, a 1969 German built Puck.
Soon after, manufacture was moved to Cernay, France and the German plant ceased manufacturing for a while after a large fire took hold of the factory.
The second thing is that the rear light cluster looks more like a late '60's set up. In the mid '70's the lights were fitted in the horizontal plane.
You have no fridge on board and no fridge vents which also suggests an older model.

Two other things which I think point to it being an earlier model than 1976 is the square topped door and the domestic looking handle. Later models have rounded door tops and handles inset into the door panel so that they site flush with the bodywork.

Thank you all for your helpful replies and suggestions for location of parts. I am pleased to hear that you think it is a earlier puck! Will update with more pictures as and when I get a chance to get stuck into the project. Does anything look to be missing from the interior? Should there be a fold down table of some sort?
Thanks,
John

In your first image you can see a metal strip below the window the table should clip in there and have a leg the other end.

Gosh, what a little treasure. I thought our 1980 model was 'vintage', you take it to the next league. Good luck and keep us informed.
