Replacing corner steadies?

Has anyone replaced a corner steady on their Puck or other model? How easy did you find it???

I bought a replacement steady from Jandi recently, been trying to fix it on the Puck the last few days and have found it a
complete b**ch to fit!!

Seems to be just millimetres out length wise and the single rear nut & bolt fixing is almost impossible to fit once the two front bolts are in place? Jean assured me that although it is a newer part now superseding the original, it would fit a '99 Puck and they have fitted many without issue.

I'm at the end of my tether and fed up being wedged under the van, covered in grease. Now considering throwing the towel in and driving all the way to AL in Bournemouth and asking them to do it (Jandi are just that little bit too far from the South Coast!)

Am off to have a lie down in a darkened room now.......

Never really studied one up close Sarah.

Any chance of a few photos and a further description of the problem? I'm sure someone will come up with a solution.

Can you make the hole slightly larger with a round file, or use a slightly larger drill bit if it is just out?

A good suggestion and I really wish I could do this but I don't have the right tools for the job.....or the nerve to drill through my new steady even if I had the right tools for the job.....
