replacing a waterpump

Hello the waterpump in our imported triton 430 isn't working anymore, it sounded a bit pathetic when we bought the van in Novemeber, I bought some cleaner which improved things and then when we took the van to Brighton in March there were so signs of life at all, I noticed the connection was a little damp due to the wiring being long and siting in a little water on the shelf so I'm wondering if anyone's experience it's worth rewiring it before buying a new pump, I don't have any equipment to check if it's tramsmitting a current just a screwdriver and ability to wire a plug!
if anyone one knows where to get one or even what they are called that would be very helpful?
As I'm not very skilled is it something I should get done professionally? thanks

The main thing with replacing a pump like that is for the cable join to be outside the container, if I remember correctly the cable goes through the container lid, so look for a 12V pump with a longish cable to reach the water in the container but with the connector outside.

Just a thought ......... the only other thing you need to watch is to get one with the right size connector for your water pipe.

Check the old one for a makers name and serial number.

if your eriba has loo could swap the suspected faulty one for the other for testing, .

sometimes the pumps need turning propeller at bottom or tapping body with a screw driver
to fit it is 2 wires and a water pipe but need good flexibility to get in cupboards..

Don't forget to get the 'polarity' right - if wrong the pump rotates in the opposite direction ! (don't know if this makes a significant difference to how it pumps ?) Someone will know !

luckily the gentleman or gentle lady has added the helpful wiring block photo above to help

I don't know the answer either.. to polarity and what happens to the pump,
logically the water may flow opposite to normal.
