Pricing caravan for insurance.

I've had my 1995 Puck 120 for six years now and I'm needing to renew my annual insurance. I know that I bought it for a bargain price, from a friend, as it badly needed cleaning, tyres and battery replacing, and servicing, and she wanted it gone quickly, but have always struggled to estimate it's value for the insurer. Apparently, these caravans are not in Glass's guides and although I can look at commercial vendors' asking prices it obviously doesn't take into account the little dents, blemishes and imperfections that have arisen over its lifetime. One major fault is that the outside gas box has at some point been damaged and now has two parts which don't quite match in colour.
I bought it for £800, have insured it for £2,500 but have seen that current showroom prices for Pucks of the same age are nearer £5,000.

Any advice before I renew ?

It's just very hard to believe that a tiny, imperfect, 21 year old caravan could be worth anything like that amount. I would assume that private sales prices are much lower.

If you lost your Eriba the replacement cost would be the Eriba dealer showroom price as far as the insurers are concerned. Thus agree with Derek, £5k. The difference in premium between £2.5k and £5k should be minimal.

eribas hold their value really well, in fact while the factory in cernay closed the resale values went up, before started production again
you certainly got a bargain,
ensure a wheel clamp and hitch lock are fitted, that reduces the premium,
