Preparing my trusty 550gt for its first vacation when a huge flying insect got in and landed on the inside of one of my pop up roof fly screens, in my haste to eject the gruesome intruder from my van I managed to tear an inch long gash in the fly screen with my finger nail. Has anyone ever repaired or replaced one of these piramid shaped vents? I was wondering wether a piece of that sticky clear awning roof repair tape would do, but I don't know how well it would fold. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks, Brian.

ooo bother, would consider a zigzag stitch, using a needle and thread to hold it then possibly use a fabric glue.

other wise consider removing canvas, and making x sewing another net in its place...
think john e found a repairer when sorted his canvas

Darn It

No seriously

it's only mesh don't try to sew it back together as a seam but sewing laterally weaving the needle through several holes either side of the tear and working downwards and then back again should do the trick. --------->

/ ----------> Don't make the stitches too tight

Like that I can't explain more clearly due to the several single malts I have consumed

Good Luck

Denise
