Has anyone seen these new type of batteries? They are expensive, but extremely lightweight and require little maintenance.
Would they be a direct replacement for my heavy 95ah AGM battery? Would the Eriba charging and 12v circuits be able to handle them? It would certainly save me a lot of weight and I guess the price will come down.

I would be a bit worried about the safety of these, I have a number of lithium batteries, as do we all!, in phones, iPads, cameras etc which all work well, as they should.
I also have some larger Lithium battery packs for use on our electric bikes, all work well also but the larger packs are subject to a number of safety considerations, mainly about charging and short circuits. You are not advised to leave the batteries unattended whilst charging as there have been cases of spontaneous combustion - so what I do is put them somewhere non flammable to charge, on a concrete/ tile floor perhaps and don't go off for the day leaving them connected to the mains.
Short circuits - you obviously would not short the exposed terminals! But the worry can be internal shorting, as like a lead acid battery, the 12v lithium battery is made up of a number of separate cells of, I believe 3.6v, these are wired together parallel/ series to get the required Ah/ voltage rating. So given the currents involved in these battery packs the wiring has to be up to scratch!
As I said initially, I would be a bit concerned about the safety, particularly in a caravan where they may be in a confined space, subjected to vibration and less than optimum charging from the tow car, hook up or solar panels. If they do catch fire it is intense and potentially explosive.(check out YouTube)
Hopefully the batteries in question have sorted these issues and the batteries are safe to use as they do offer considerable advantages (except the cost!) Finally, it may be interesting to note that you wouldn't be allowed to take one of these on an aircraft!

My local caravan dealer is now selling these batteries. They salesman said they are a direct replacement for the lead acid type and weigh about 20kgs less. The circuit in the caravan will charge them without a problem and they provide more long lasting power for the motor mover. They come with a metal holder which can be connected to the floor in place of the existing battery with 6 self tapping screws. As well as charging from the caravan circuit, they can also be removed and plugged into the mains at home for a faster charge via a cable as they have an inbuilt charger.
Wondering if anyone has tried one, or how they effect the warranty.

Reich also provide a Mobility Power Pack (2kg) for their easydriver moves. They provide enough power to manoeuvre a 1600kg for 15-20 minutes and with a weight of 2kg overcome one of the biggest problems of having a mover attached to our Touring Eriba's and that is additional weight eating into the limited payload.

Do any members actually have a Reich mover fitted with this type of battery?

The Reich Mobility Power Pack and the Power Xtreme appear to be essentially the same type of battery - LiFePO4 lithium.
The Xtreme is marketed as both a battery for the existing van motor mover and to power the 12v system off grid.
Like Deeps, I'm keen to see if anyone has used one. To me, they seem the ideal solution to keep the weight down and to provide the power needed.

8.8Ah! That's less than 10% of the normal 100Ah leisure battery, I wouldn't want to stray too far off grid with this as my only battery!
