Hi everybody

Just joined the Eriba club, first time owning a caravan and seems there is a lot more to it than I ever imagined.

Picked up my 1985 Pan yesterday evening, never towed anything before so was a little bit hesitant initially. Worst past was it was from the middle of Milton Keynes so at least I got plenty of practice on roundabouts (talk about a baptism of fire, 12 roundabouts in the first 10 minutes of my towing life). The 100 mile journey "home" (it will live at my sisters as we don't have the space in London) went well so all good on that front.

It needs a good clean up and no doubt plenty of lessons to learn but really looking forward to getting out in it soon.

Andy

to the world of 'Eriba' - great choice. Towing an Eriba is a doddle :) - it's when you start reversing it that it gets 'interesting'

Hi Andy and welcome to Eribafolk.

Being from London, we bet you've not had to negotiate many cows on roundabouts either.

The van sounds great. we look forward to seeing some pics.

Hi and welcome first time we drove our Eriba home we not only had to get used to towing but then had to negotiate the ferry.

Hi Andrew and
Our first time we had to pull her 210 miles and we were shattered at the end. Drove so slowly it took us nearly 7 hours!!
Hope you enjoy the van as much as we have and why not come to the Meet in Corby...you will get loads of help and info.
Regards Chris and Keith

Hello.
We're new too. The learning curve has been incredible!!! We're off for our 4th weekend away today - and I'm wondering what surprises we'll get this time! All fun......really, we love it.

Thanks everybody, itching to get started but I'm in Poland this weekend so it will have to wait a week.

The previous owner sadly passed away and it was sold by his son, everything has been left in there so it needs a good sort out and clean up. There is tons of stuff under the seating area and I suspect an awning but won't know until next week when I get it all out and see what we've ended up with.

Our very first towing journey when we picked up our PuckL involved the Dartford Crossing. Very scary as we seemed to be sandwiched between enormous lorries. Just spent all that money and convinced we were about to be squashed.

I remember my first trip out we hit a diesel spill on the motorway that made the little Puck do an Irish jig, it would have given Michael Flatley a run for his money...

Yes, went over the Dartford Crossing too. Although it was late in the evening so pretty clear
