Hi All,
Just purchased a 1993 Puck. We stopped caravanning about 20 years ago and now I am retired we decided to give it a go again? Chose a Puck to make it easier with my back issues. We are really looking forward to our 1st expedition. Does anybody have any experience of using a jockey wheel type electric movers?

Hi Marko and welcome to Eribafolk.

There is some feedback on here regarding the jockey wheel mover :- http://www.caravantalk.co.uk/community/t...d-jockey-wheel/

However one comment is that it worked fine on a light towing trailer and the weight he is quoting is heavier than your Puck.

Hi, I have used a powered jockey wheel. It was on a far larger van, but I couldn't get on with it. The area I needed to move the van into was quite tight and with the power on the mover it rocked and jolted the caravan whenever I stopped and started it. Did the job but not smooth. The other thing to bear in mind is its weight on the nose, or if you need to change the jockey wheel, it would not be easy. Would recommend motor mover which fits under the caravan, Very easy to use and does the job very well. Hope this helps. Have fun

I had a Mr Shifta for my previous 1993 Puck and it was no good on a slight incline, the wheels just spun. I have a Motor mover on my Familia and it has made my life a lot easier especially when onsite it makes it a doddle to get the van level when using the levelling ramp.

You might need to research the availability of a traditional 'mover' for your Puck. I believe many owners have been told that it is not possible to fit to a Puck, due to the lower ground clearance.

There may be those on the Forum who have found suppliers/fitters who've overcome this problem ? ?

Worth asking here for advice
