Hey guys I'm the new owner of a 79 familia and havnt got a clue about fridges so here goes: turn gas on turn big knob to max push it in then press the igniter, look in the bottom of the fridge and I can see a blue light (flame), it's been like that for 4 hours now and when I've gone to the fridge expecting it to be cold it's not it's normal temperature
Am I doing awt wrong ??

We went off grid for the first time a couple of weeks ago and had same problem. Also our marks on the knobs have now worn off. If same as ours, the knob needs to be pointing just after the '12 o clock' but before '1'. If too cold turn back to '10 o clock'. Ours doesn't seem to have any control between these numbers. We also have a thermometer on a wire so we can keep a check of the fridge. We found just opening it for a few seconds the temp could climb 6-7 degrees but took 4 hours to get back. Maybe google ' instructions for ....fridge' , that's how we found out about ours. Sorry all paperwork is in fridge at mo and too dark to go and find!.
Good luck, Chris

If you can, remove the fridge and take outside then roll the fridge over completely several times then roll it the other way so all surfaces of
the fridge touch the ground. The problem is usually because the refrigerant settles at the bottom of the unit and refuses to move
with just the heat from the small gas flame.
