Hi, Are you looking to use the plug to do hookup? I presume you meant plug as you said you had pins, see below which may work..

Thanks for the reply guys but none of them sockets and plugs are what I'm after, lift the flap and there is 2 round pins sticking out so I would need a female socket that would take 2 pins
Thanks

If you look at the link the black end with the 2 pins sticking out is wot I've got when you lift the flap on the out side of the caravan not the blue plug just the black bit so I need a socket to fit that ?

The last link is what I'm after but he says in his description that if it's a French caravan it needs a earth pin,

It's a standard French plug. The thingy that Campsnooze posted is what you want as it has the earth bit and you can cut off the French other end and put a Brit one on or get an adapter.

Wouldn't it make more sense to replace your existing French socket with a BS one so that you can use a standard EHU cable in the UK and buy or make up an adapter for (the now very rare) occasions when you will encounter a French supply socket when touring?

Wise words, Mr C. I reckon that's the best idea too.

When it comes to mains supply, the less cobbling together the better.

I agree, although I found the part the member was looking for ........... it makes sense to change to the standard socket and if needed have a converter for use abroad.

Even more so if the old one is original and 37 years old.
